The unsuspecting beaches of Clifton, Cape Town, was targeted as the next Activation Point for Power of One. 50 Agents swooped in, armed with 500 candles, 500 Paper Bags, and 1 goal... to ignite and illuminate the four beaches of Clifton a very powerful statement: THE POWER OF ONE.
For over an hour and a half, people laughed and played in the sand, filling and folding the paper bags, enjoying quality time with their kids and other agents...
clifton 4th found itself covered with "THE", measuring close to 20 x 45m! Clifton 3rd had "POWER" at close to 20 x 75m, on Clifton 2nd was "OF" coming in at 20 x 30m, and lastly on Clifton 1st was "ONE" at a size of 20 x 45m. It was the first time something to this scale had been done on Clifton, or any other beach for that matter!
Candles planted, picnics enjoyed, it came down to ignition time. Over a period of close to 20 minutes the letters were lighted one-after-the-other, and for over an hour they burned into the Darkness, illuminating all four beaches... it was truly beautiful, and probably the most fun yet... (well, since our last Flash-Mob at least! haha)
