Pinkie FestPinkie Fest, sponsored by Miller Genuine Draft launches its annual party in support of the power-saving initiative and aims to attract 3000 people to the event. Great venue, security, food, drinks, people and entertainment!

SA's leading ad agency, Draft FCB under their Brave Heart initiative, are generously pooling their talent to drive people to the event and support the activation of the campaign on the day.

Max Pichulik, Power of One project manager say, "The people of Sandton will partying with purpose on the 15th March, and what a way to do it with four of South Africa's largest bands.
Thanks to the Pinkie Fest guys, Draft FCB team and the Sandton Sports Club for facilitating this event and supporting the power-saving campaign.

"So, circle your calendars for the Saturday and get down to the Sandton Sports Club in Parkmore from 10am to 10pm."

Kevin Fine from 5fm will be MC-ing on the day, as well as supporting the event on Saturdays and Sundays leading up to the event.

With Sandton being one of the most heavily hit load shedding areas, it's very appropriate to host the party at the Sandton Sports Club, a well known centre in the heart of Sandton.

PIchulik adds, "The concert is taking place for the people and by the people, encouraging them to to be energy efficient and Plug in to the Power of One.

Tickets are available at Computicket. Tickets are R180.00 with all profits going to charity. The tickets may also be collected at Rocket Cocktail Bar and Restaurant (Rivonia Boulevard) and Billy the Bums in Fourways.

Hi there
You could go bio diesel. You could also look to more energy effecient sources for your catering and general lighting, on stage you could make use of LED power as opposed incandescent and discharges sources. Solar power is also not a bad option for the smallers supplies.
